This past year has been a time of many transitions for BGU. A new, younger, team is developing creating unique opportunities and fresh challenges. As BGU approaches this calendar year end, these next few months are a time when your financial gifts can be especially helpful.
In Philippians 4:10-20 (copied below), Paul writes a God-inspired scripture thank you note to the church in Philippi for their financial gifts to him. He thanks them for their concern for him and for being sensitive to his needs and providing support when so many other churches he ministered to missed seeing his need. He is clear to state that his love and friendship with them is not based upon their financial support. He is clear to state that he is not desperate since God is providing for him even as he is in prison. But he expresses genuine thanks for their awareness of his need and for their response by giving.
BGU is experiencing God鈥檚 blessing in many ways yet we also have genuine needs. We know God is prompting BGU to ask for more help, and to open up opportunities for others to see the joy of their giving 鈥渃redited to their account鈥 as Paul states in Philippians 4:17.

The Apostle Paul in Phil 4:10 writes:

I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry,聽whether living in plenty or in want.聽 13聽 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
14聽 Yet it was good of you to share聽in my troubles. 15聽 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days聽of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia,聽not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only;聽 16聽 for even when I was in Thessalonica,聽you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.聽 17聽 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.聽 18聽 I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus聽the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant聽offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.聽 19聽 And my God will meet all your needs聽according to the riches of his glory聽in Christ Jesus. 20聽 To our God and Father聽be glory for ever and ever.
