In the strictest sense, commercializing your research implies turning your research into a company聽or selling it to the open market as intellectual property. The most famous examples of聽this approach are the Google founders, who started their company while being PhD students. At the other extreme, there are organizations such as 鈥�Cheeky Scientist鈥� that cater to unemployed PhD graduates.
In this seminar, Dr. V膬duva will outline a few best practices for commercializing your research before, while, and especially after your doctoral program. Furthermore, we will discuss the importance of your ideas as an instrument for influencing and shaping future generations.

Sebastian is the director of the School of Management & IT within Emanuel University of Oradea, and the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Ethics in Entrepreneurship and IT.
He holds two PhDs and an MBA. Along with his team, Dr. V膬duva has authored or co-authored 15 books, 40 academic articles and edited ten conference proceedings. He is a visiting professor at several prestigious universities in Romania and the US.
Along with his team, they have been involved in over 25 startups and have consulted or trained over 50 corporations. They are involved in business social initiatives such as associations, anti-corruption campaigns, digital literacy campaigns and business incubators.
He is married to Lois, and they have a daughter, Evelyn. His motto is: 鈥淒o not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.鈥�
