Martine鈥檚 passion is to serve global Christian leaders to become increasingly empowered transformational leaders for Christ鈥檚 kingdom, serving Him creatively and joyfully.听Themes of research of the leaders she mentors include urban transformation, women in leadership, entrepreneurship, Christian service, and mission. One of her guiding Bible verses is: 鈥淗e has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God鈥 (Micah 6:8 鈥 NIV).
While experiencing the 2010-2011 Ivorian civil war, she co-led the development of a training curriculum in French on post-traumatic counseling. That curriculum is now being used by a French-speaking mission agency that operates mainly in Francophone Africa to train teams in post-traumatic counseling in challenging countries like Congo or Burkina Faso. Developing an accredited doctoral program in transformational leadership in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, made her realize that the core of her call is to empower African Christian leaders to be God-sent influencers in their countries and communities. She supervised many doctoral dissertations and continues to do so and thus she is always in awe at witnessing God鈥檚 beautiful creative work in and through the leaders she serves.
