Financial Assistance

BGU understands the financial stress that can result from the pursuit of graduate-level education. To help ease that burden, BGU has sought to identify various financial aid opportunities for qualified students wishing to attend BGU but who do not have the financial resources to do so. Our hope is that these resources and financial aid packages will help you move forward with your educational goals. To begin with, here are a few helpful links for internet access to Financial Aid Information. As the borrower, it is important for you to know the regulations regarding borrowing and repayment of Federal funds. The first web link below provides that information.

FAFSA

BGU has been approved as an institution whose students are eligible for Title IV Federal loans. This form of financial aid is based upon the needs of the student. Need is determined based on the聽cost of attendance聽and the聽expected family contribution (EFC)聽as calculated through the Free Application for聽Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) system.

Steps to Apply:聽 Students who are interested in obtaining a loan through the Direct Loan or FFELP (Stafford Loan Program) will need to follow the following steps.聽BGU contracts with a Federal Aid specialist to coordinate aid for BGU students. In order to apply for funds, you first must be admitted as a student at BGU. In addition, you cannot be an active student at another school while applying for student loans at BGU.

1. During your admissions process, you will need to supply a 鈥渘otarized鈥 copy of your ID proving your eligibility to apply for student loans. Pick 1 from the following 3 options:

  • Notarized US Passport picture page

  • Notarized copy of your Permanent Residence Card

  • Notarized US Driver鈥檚 License AND Social Security card.

2. Complete the聽form.

3. Complete your聽听蹿辞谤尘.

4. Complete the聽听(惭笔狈).

Once all documents are completed, it takes 10 days to 2 weeks to process your aid request providing your interview is in order.

Student Loans

BGU has been approved as an institution whose students are eligible for Title IV Federal loans. This form of financial aid is based upon the needs of the student. Need is determined based on the cost of attendance and the expected family contribution (EFC) as calculated through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) system. Students who are interested in obtaining a loan through the Direct Loan or FFELP (Stafford Loan Program) should fill out the FAFSA application by going to the government website:聽聽and enter the BGU's school code: G31108 or go directly to BGU FAFSA application. Once the application is completed, the student will submit the application electronically.

If you have been approved as a recipient of the federal funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students, the College is providing a progress report for students and concerned stakeholders to review. Learn more

LoanCenter

LoanCenter is very excited to announce that it is offering a scholarship to students who want to further their education and achieve their career goals. They would love to share the scholarship information with you and make it available to your students for anyone interested in applying. This scholarship awards $1,000 to a student that demonstrates a passion for their education and financial future.

In order to participate in the scholarship contest, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5.

  • All applicants must be U.S citizens or permanent residents of the U.S.

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited two to four-year U.S. University.

Fundraising Course

BGU offers a 9-week highly-rated fundraising course that can help students seek funds for both their education and the ongoing ministry expenses they may face after graduation. Students who start the BGU application and pay the application fee can take the course for free. This course normally starts each July 1 but arrangements can be made for independent coaching.
